Leeds fans have been left excited over the prospect of facing a trip to Burnley in the third round of the Carabao Cup.
Chris Wood has recently secured a £15million move to Turf Moor and is expected to feature against his former side in just a couple of weeks’ time.
The New Zealand international isn’t the only ex-Leeds player who could be on show, with Charlie Taylor likely to line up in Sean Dyche’s side after he quit Elland Road at the end of last season in acrimonious circumstances.
The left-back refused to play in the final match of last season against Wigan as he looked to force through a move to the Premier League.
Leeds have beaten Port Vale and Newport County to make it to this stage of the competition while Burnley saw off their bitter Lancashire rivals Blackburn on Wednesday night to book their spot in the third round, which had the draw announced on the Carabao Cup’s official Twitter account on Wednesday.

Wood wasn’t in the best of form for Burnley when he made his debut for them against Blackburn on Wednesday night, which naturally prompted a reaction from the Leeds supporters who will now be hoping their club can reinvest in someone else who can lead their attack like he did.
In other Leeds news, the Whites have agreed a deal for a new striker.
