'Absolutely crazy' - Leeds fans react to Wood display in 0-0 draw against Fulham
By Harry Sykes
Chris Wood and Leeds United failed to score for the second consecutive match – and supporters delivered mixed verdicts of their star striker on Twitter.
Wood’s future has come under the microscope in recent days amid strong interest from Premier League clubs, led by Burnley.
Wood spearheaded the Leeds attack hours later but spurned two good chances as he and his team drew a blank for the second time in four days.
Some supporters were critical of the club’s prize asset on social media, claiming his head had been turned by the transfer interest, while others hit out at fans who were piling into a player who topped the Championship goal charts last season and represents the club’s best hope of promotion.

Wood has to start finishing those 1 vs 1s. He set his own standards last season #lufc

Surely Wood must be thinking about a move, If not #lufc have no reason not to come out and say he is staying.
Hearing rumours about Burnley

Absolutely crazy that a day ago everyone was saying don’t sell wood. All of a sudden he misses one chance and he should be sold #lufc

Some clueless people wanting Wood out for scoring 1 goal in 3 games, this isn’t footballer manager, go back to your sticker album #lufc

Can’t believe I’m actually seeing people say sell Chris Wood????
20m now or 200m at end of season with his goals winning us promotion? #lufc

Is wood missing sitters for fun so that clubs will lose interest in him? Smart man! #Lufc

Any criticism is harsh. That’s sport. Sometimes they go in sometimes they don’t. If Wood scored every time he wouldn’t be #lufc player now!

Signs are there….. we will be alright this season…. if wood starts finishing we will be fine #lufc

Wood is on the radar of the Premier League clubs after his sensational 2016-17 campaign, in which his Championship-high tally of 27 league goals nearly catapulted Leeds into the play-off places.
It has been reported that Leeds have lined up loan deals for Hamburg’s Pierre-Michel Lasogga and Aston Villa’s Ross McCormack, as they consider alternative striker options.
Despite a second consecutive home draw, Leeds are fifth in the embryonic Championship table, which is topped by Cardiff City.
In other Leeds United transfer news, Football Insider can exclusively reveal that Thomas Christiansen is lining up a move for a centre-back who is highly regarded and is captain of his club.
