Leeds fans have reacted amusingly on Twitter after Neil Warnock has reportedly moved swiftly to snap up Sol Bamba on an 18-month deal.
The Ivory Coast international mutually terminated his contract at Elland Road in September after failing to earn a move elsewhere, with the likes of Liam Cooper, Kyle Bartley and Pontus Jansson ahead of him in the centre-back pecking order.
After talks with Derby County and Bury fell through, Bamba is set to be snapped up by his former Leeds boss Warnock just 48 hours into his new job.
Former Leicester and Palermo stopper Bamba will team up with Warnock as well as his assistant Ronnie Jepson, who has followed Warnock to the Cardiff City Stadium following time together at QPR and Crystal Palace as well as Leeds.
Fans have apologised already to the Cardiff faithful after Bamba ended his search for a new club, while many opted to reflect on Bamba’s stint at Elland Road.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
don't know what happened to Bamba. Was great when he first came, earned a permanent deal then turned into Roque Junior.. #lufc

Bamba is Warnock’s second signing after former QPR winger Junior Hoilett joined the Bluebirds, as Warnock looks to Championship add experience to his faltering side.
Warnock, who is now in his 16th stint as a manager, will take charge of his first game as boss in front of the cameras against Bristol City on Friday, October 14.
In other Leeds news, Neil Redfearn has delivered a scathing attack on this Leeds signing.
