Huddersfield and Sheffield Wednesday both suffered defeats on Friday night – and the Leeds fans mocked their two Yorkshire rivals on Twitter.
The three clubs are also vying for promotion this season and could all end up in the play-off positions at the end of the season.
Third-placed Huddersfield suffered a huge shock as they lost away to relegation threatened Bristol City 4-0, making their chances of automatic promotion very slim.
Meanwhile, sixth-placed Huddersfield suffered a 2-0 defeat at home to Reading and are just hanging on to the final play-off spot.
Leeds are sandwiched between the two clubs and face a huge test against second-placed Brighton on Saturday.
The Whites will be solely focused on making sure they finish inside the top six this season, but will move eight points behind the automatic positions with a win on Saturday.
Leeds fans couldn’t help but express their delight following critical losses for their rivals.

Leeds have been in the promotion picture pretty much all season and Garry Monk is enjoying a sensational first season at Elland Road.
The Whites have a five-point cushion over seventh-placed Fulham and are nervously looking over their shoulders to make sure they maintain in the play-off spots.
They host high flying Brighton at the weekend and will be looking to avenge a 2-0 defeat from the previous meeting.
Monk’s side have drawn their last two consecutive games against QPR and Fulham, so will be keen to return to winnings ways.
In other Leeds news, Liam Bridcutt has made a bold promotion claim ahead of Brighton.
