Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to express their delight after defender Conor Shaughnessy signed a new contract with the club.
The Championship leaders announced on their official website and Twitter account on Thursday that the 21-year-old enforcer has penned a four-year deal.

The centre-back has made a considerable impression on new manager Thomas Christiansen after he joined United from Reading in September of last year.
The former Republic of Ireland international has played six times this season after making his debut in the opening-day league win over Bolton.
Shaughnessy has started the last two matches but senior centre-back trio Pontus Jansson, Liam Cooper and Matthew Pennington are set to be available for Saturday’s home clash against Ipswich.
The Irishman is regarded as the most junior of the quartet but the new deal and the fact Leeds did not sign a permanent centre-back this summer is proof of how highly he is regarded.
