Watch: Leeds fans react on Twitter to Doukara wonder goal against Nottingham Forest

By Will Butcher

Leeds fans have reacted with delight on Twitter after Souleymane Doukara scored a stunning volley in his side’s 2-0 win against Nottingham Forest.

Starting the game as a substitute, the versatile attacker replaced Northern Ireland international Stuart Dallas in the second half at Elland Road on Wednesday night.

Lurking on the edge of the Nottingham Forest box in the 74th minute, Doukara struck a sweet volley into the top of Stephen Henderson’s net to double Leeds’ advantage after Forest had cleared the ball.

Doukara, who has played on the left of the Yorkshire giants’ attack this season instead of his recognised role as a centre-forward, now has five goals to his name for the season in 21 league and cup encounters.

Leeds fans reacted with joy on Twitter, with some claiming the former Catania forward’s strike could be a contender for the Championship’s goal of the season.
