Leeds boss Garry Monk revealed on Thursday afternoon that star full-back Charlie Taylor was still injured, causing fans to mass speculate on Twitter.

The 23-year-old left-back suffered an injury in his side’s 1-0 victory over Brentford on 17 December.

It was originally expected to be a minor problem, but he has now been missing for over a month and manager Monk revealed on Thursday that the player will miss Saturday’s clash with Barnsley.

With his contract set to expire in the summer and mounting Premier League interest, a number of supporters on social media are starting to wonder if he is truly injured.

Taylor has starred in 97 encounters in total for the Yorkshire giants, with 25 of those appearances coming under Garry Monk this season.

He has played a pivotal part in helping the club compete at the top of the table in third this season, but growing interest from Premier League outfit West Brom and his contract situation has seen his future thrown into doubt.

Many fans will be hoping that the club can now keep the player, but there is still a divide on whether they should cash in on him if he is not going to sign a new deal.
