'Anything for you' - Leeds supporters react to passionate Monk message

By Danny Wright

Leeds fans have responded to Garry Monk’s plea for them to pack Elland Road to the rafters against Wolves on Monday.

Monk said on his personal Twitter account that the fans can prove to be the 12th man in his side’s push to finish in the play-off places.

The Yorkshire club could drop out of the top six if results go against them on Easter Monday.

Seventh-placed Fulham are three points behind the Whites and have a much better goal difference going into their home clash with Aston Villa.

Sheffield Wednesday can also go above Leeds if they beat QPR.

Leeds, a team with great history, have not been in the top-flight since 2004 and their fans have been desperate for them to return to the promised land for over a decade.

Monk has made himself into a popular figure at Elland Road and supporters are happy to oblige to his request.

Here is a selection tweets from Leeds fans:

Monday’s opponents Wolves go into the game on the back of two consecutive defeats.

Paul Lambert’s side don’t have a great deal to play for in the fixture having moved well clear of the relegation zone in the last two months.

Leeds have a trip to Burton next week before their final home game of the season against Norwich. Monk’s side will then finish the season with a visit to Wigan.
