Leeds fans urge Monk to recall attacker to starting XI against Fulham

By Alex Stevens

Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to urge Garry Monk to hand Alfonso Pedraza a starting role in Tuesday’s clash against Fulham.

The winger was given a 17-minute runout as a late substitute in Leeds’ 3-1 win at Birmingham on Friday night and responded with a superbly taken goal.

It was Pedraza’s first for Leeds since his deadline day loan move from La Liga club Villarreal.

Supporters of the promotion hopefuls are keen to see the attacker in the starting XI when Leeds host Fulham in the Championship at Elland Road on Tuesday night.

The Spain Under-21 international has struggled for game time since moving to the Yorkshire giants, starting just one match of the six that he has been available for.

He had been an unused substitute for three consecutive matches before getting his chance in the league triumph at St Andrews.

It has convinced fans that Pedraza should be given an opportunity from the start in Leeds’ next match.
