Leeds United fans want to see Hull City striker Abel Hernandez signed this summer after the club were reportedly named in the running for the player’s signature.
The 27-year-old hitman is out of contract with the Tigers and, as such, there has been a lot of interest in the forward.
Surgery on an injury sustained to the former Uruguayan international’s Achilles tendon had seen Hernandez miss most of the campaign.
But since making his return to the side in March he has come back with a bang, scoring five in his last seven games, (eight in ten in total) – not bad for a team which finished 18th.
It is no surprise then, given the player’s form to see Leeds fans calling for the club to make the signing of the striker a reality.
However, with Wolverhampton Wanderers, Celtic and Newcastle also all reportedly showing an interest in the forward, the Whites chances of sealing a deal for the player are slim.
Wages could also be an issue, with Hernandez reported to be raking in £30k-a-week at Hull.
The striking position at Leeds is one that has caused a great deal of debate amongst supporters who, for the most part, are unhappy with Victor Orta’s signings of Pierre-Michel Lasogga, Jay-Roy Grot, and Caleb Ekuban.
Here is a selection of reactions of social media from supporters keen on seeing the 27-year-old arrive through the doors at Elland Road:

He's the type of striker you need in this system. You'd take 16 league goals at that ratio and a few others chipping in! Would be a very good signing

He's very good mate, a handful. Some of those appearances are Premier league, if you break down his goals to game ratio in champ level football it's outstanding.Would love him at Leeds.

I take him, looked good at start of season then got that massive injury. Can’t be any worse than we have now
