'Should be nailed on' - Leeds fans demand midfielder is promoted after brilliant displays

By Richard Parks
Leeds United fans have called for Adam Forshaw to be handed the club captaincy in place of Liam Cooper.
The central midfielder has impressed since signing from Middlesbrough during the January transfer window for a fee rising to £4.5million.
Forshaw, 26, has started the team’s last five Championship fixtures and playing the full 90 minutes in each of them.
He delivered another polished display in Leeds’ 2-2 draw at Derby County on Tuesday night after being partnered with Ronaldo Vieira in central midfield.
Eunan O’Kane had been the former Boro man’s sidekick in the centre in the previous match, but he was omitted from the matchday 18 by manager Paul Heckingbottom.
Leeds fans have been blown away by the class, commitment and leadership skills and want him to take the captain’s armband from Cooper, who was made skipper at the start of the season following the sale of Liam Bridcutt to Nottingham Forest.
