Leeds player ratings v Preston: 23-year-old is 9/10

COMMENT By Harvey Byrne

Football Insider rates the Leeds players after their 4-1 win against Preston in the Championship on Monday afternoon at Deepdale.

Rob Green 8 – Made some good saves across the match and was unfortunate not to end with a clean sheet.

Luke Ayling 6 – Gave his usual solid performance on the right of defence, not pesenting the Preston attack with many opportunities.

Pontus Jansson 7 – Continued to be solid in defence and played a part in the buildup to the first goal.

Kyle Bartley 6 – His partnership at the back with Jansson is flourishing with each match, but he was unable to keep his side a clean sheet.

Gaetano Berardi 6 – Gave a good display in the Whites’ back four without pulling up any trees.

Liam Bridcutt 7 – Battled courageously in the middle and even managed to set-up a few chances for his attackers.

Kalvin Phillips 5 – Received a yellow card for petulantly kicking the ball away in the first half and struggled to impose himself on the game.

Stuart Dallas 7 – The attacker took the initial free kick in the build-up to the opener and caused the Lilywhites defence plenty of problems.

Hadi Sacko 8 – Scored his side’s second goal of the afternoon after neat play with Roofe and his pace and trickery could not be handled by Preston.

Kemar Roofe 9 – The 23-year-old opened the scoring on Boxing Day and was a constant thorn in the opposition’s half with two assists also.

Souleymane Doukara 7 – The attacker filling in for top scorer Chris Wood put in another good shift and finished with a goal to boot.

Pablo Hernandez (For Sacko 54 minutes) – 8

Chris Wood (For Doukara 80 minutes) – 7

Marcus Antonsson (for Roofe 85 minutes) – 6
