Youthful trio Tyler Denton, Frank Mulhern and Alex Purver are all set to sign new Leeds deals, according to a report.

The youngsters are in line to follow fellow Academy graduate Ronaldo Vieira by penning fresh terms with the Championship club.

The Yorkshire Evening Post report that left-back Denton, 20, forward Mulhern, 19, and central midfielder Purver, 20, will be offered contract extensions.

The trio have all impressed for Leeds’ development side this season, and the club believe they could have first-team roles to play in the future.

Leeds announced last week that they anticipated a number of youngsters following in the footsteps of 17-year-old Vieira, who signed a two-year professional deal last Thursday.

Denton, Mulhern and Purver are all expected to sign new deals in the coming weeks, as Leeds prepare a retained list for next season.

However Lewis Walters, 21, could follow forward Mirco Antenucci out of the Leeds exit door.

Walters was once considered to be one of the brightest talents in club’s academy system, but his progress has halted in recent years and it is said that he will not be offered a new contract.

Leeds are also sweating over the future of 19-year-old goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell, who has still not penned an extension to his current deal.

Peacock-Farrell is out of contract in the summer, and it is believed that he wants assurances that he will receive first-team action before committing his future.

In other Leeds news, Steve Evans is odds-on favourite to become the new manager of a rival Championship club.
