Football Insider verdict:
Yet another new recruit for the Leeds Under-23 side, with Martin predominantly playing for the Fulham Under-18s before. He did make one appearance for their Under-23 side late last year. Several of the players have made the jump up to the senior team this season, so this is obviously an exciting move for Martin. And the investment in the second-string side is the big story of the season for Leeds. They’ve obviously got a long-term plan and some of this has come to fruition this year. However, this has to be given a huge proviso – the Under-23s have made the step up after a dismal failure by the senior side and by a string of injuries. Time will tell whether they’re good enough to stake a claim in a promotion-hunting side next season.
