Leeds have contacted Manchester United over taking 20-year-old defender Cameron Borthwick-Jackson on a season-long loan, according to a reliable journalist.
Joe Rawson, who works for Radio Yorkshire and is considered a good source of Leeds transfer news, claimed on his Twitter account that it might take a while for the move to be agreed.
This comes on the back of a report in the Daily Mail that claimed Leeds wanted to snap up Borthwick-Jackson after Charlie Taylor moved to Burnley.
Borthwick-Jackson is a product of the Man United youth system but has struggled to make an impact in the first team.
He spent the first half of last season on loan to Wolves but only made six appearances in the Championship, and returned to Old Trafford in January.
He made 10 Premier League appearances in the 15/16 season, but didn’t make a senior appearance for United last season.
Now it looks like he could be set for a loan move after he was left out of Jose Mourinho’s pre-season squad to tour the United States.
Thomas Christiansen will be hoping that Elland Road is set to be his new destination.
