Leeds transfers: Galatasaray plan to sign Max Wober this week- report
Leeds United defender Max Wober could be set to depart Elland Road as Galatasaray are reportedly interested in signing him.
Wober spent last season on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach but has returned to the West Yorkshire giants for the 2024-25 campaign.
Some speculation existed that the central defender would return to Germany, but no deal materialised this summer.
According to Taxvim, Galatasaray wants to sign the 26-year-old before the Turkish transfer window shuts on 13 September.
Wober has yet to play a single game this season for Leeds in the Championship and has fallen down the pecking order under Daniel Farke.
The Austria international had previously stated he was ready to fight for his place in the Leeds starting lineup, but there is now a potential exit for him in the Super Lig.
Leeds United could cash in on Max Wober
Wober is under contract at Elland Road until 2027, but his only appearance this season came in the 3-0 loss against Middlesbrough in the EFL Cup.
The centre-back has been on the bench in three out of the four games Leeds have played in the Championship so far this season, but Farke is yet to give him a run out.
Wober had been a regular feature in the Borussia Monchengladbach side last season, having made 27 appearances.

Wober has been under contract at the West Yorkshire giants since January 2023, and he had been a key member of the team when the Whites were in the Premier League.
Throughout his Leeds career, Wober has made 20 appearances.
