Bielsa 'just like Warnock' as Leeds talks with 26-yr-old revealed - Paddy Kenny
Marcelo Bielsa has the same “personal touch” that Neil Warnock does – and that could be decisive in luring Javi Galan to Leeds United.
That is according to ex-Leeds goalkeeper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively after Football Insider revealed the latest in the Whites’ pursuit of Galan.
A Leeds source told this site on 28th June that Bielsa had contacted the 26-year-old Huesca left-back to discuss the role he might play for the first team.
Leeds’ imminent £12.8million capture of Barcelona left-back Junior Firpo, which was revealed by Football Insider on 29th June, could affect the situation.
Firpo has three years remaining on his Barca deal while Galan’s contract expires next summer.
Kenny hailed Bielsa for his decision to get in touch with Galan personally.

He told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams: “That’s just like Warnock when I left Sheffield United.
“I had the chance to speak to Bristol City and Ipswich as well. But as soon as I knew QPR were interested I spoke to Warnock and that’s what did it.
“It’s nice sometimes being able to speak to the manager so you know where you’re at rather than going through agents.
“Bielsa has that personal touch like Warnock. If I was still playing, that is the sort of thing that I think would influence my decision.”
Galan’s potential move to Elland Road could depend on the future of out-of-contract Ezgjan Alioski.
Leeds are unlikely to sign more than one left-back unless he rejects the offer put to him that was revealed by this site on 4th June.
