Hjelde may re-sign for Celtic after Leeds bid accepted – Kenny
Leeds United could loan Leo Hjelde straight back to Celtic once they finalise his permanent transfer.
So says ex-Whites goalkeeper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the 17-year-old Norwegian defender.
This site revealed on 12 August that the centre-back was set to undergo a medical with Leeds after a fee was agreed with Celtic.

And The Athletic‘s Phil Hay tweeted on 23 August that Leeds will get a deal for the young defender over the line before 31 August.
And Kenny predicts that the youngster could make an immediate loan return to Parkhead once the deal is done.
He told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams.“We’ve seen Premier League teams are willing to pay good money for younger players and then loan them out.
“Leeds are showing that, like a lot of clubs, they can pay a lot for young players who aren’t necessarily gonna feature in the first team.
“They can send him out on loan because that is key to any player’s development. So that could be an option, he could even go back to Celtic.
“You can get them used to playing week in, week out against men in competitive matches.
“He’s obviously a superb player. It’s alright playing under-23s football but it’s not the same as the first-team game.”

Hjelde is yet to make his senior debut for Celtic since signing from Rosenborg as a youth player in 2019.
The youngster, whose contract expires next summer, spent last season on loan at Ross County.
