Leeds United employee claims Cody Drameh could now quit after confirmed news
Noel Whelan has claimed Leeds United youngster Cody Drameh could return to the Championship on loan once again in the 2022-23 season after the arrival of right-back Rasmus Kristensen.
The former Whites striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed getting another full season under his belt in the second tier will do the 20-year-old “the world of good”.
Leeds United confirmed the signing of Kristensen, 24, on Wednesday (8 June) – with the Denmark international agreeing a five-year deal with the club.
Drameh started all 22 Championship games after joining Cardiff during the January transfer window – notching three assists in the process.
The England Under-21 international departed in search of first-team football against the wishes of then-manager Marcelo Bielsa.
He is under contract at Elland Road until June 2024.

Whelan suggested Drameh could be a squad option for Leeds United if Jesse Marsch has earmarked Luke Ayling for a centre-back role in the 2022-23 season.
“I think a return to the Championship is looking more likely,” he told Football Insider‘s Ewan Kingsbury.
“Unless of course Jesse Marsch feels he needs three players in that position. We could see Luke Ayling playing in that centre-back position again, perhaps as part of a three.
“Leeds United identified the right-back position as one of our weakest after last season. We’ve gone out and addressed it.
“I think Cody will still be looking to progress, but he’s still a young boy.
“He’s only 20, so another full season in the Championship will do him the world of good.”
