Leeds United have been linked with a move for Jovan Lukic ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 24-year-old had an excellent campaign with Philadelphia Union in the 2025 season when the club won the Supporter’s Sheild.

Now, Lorenzo Lepore has reported via X that the midfielder is wanted by both Leeds United and Celta Vigo before the start of the 2026-27 campaign.

While it is unclear how much Lukic would cost, the Peacocks have a potential bargain on their hands.

Lukic’s current contract is set to expire at the end of the year, which could allow Leeds to get a price-cut deal.

Reports suggest that Lukic’s deal is set to run out on 31 December 2026.

This presents a perfect opportunity for Leeds to strike a deal.

While Philadelphia Union do hold options for 2027 and 2028, these are yet to be taken up.

Therefore, if Leeds adds pressure on the MLS side to acquire Lukic, it could force them to sell for a price-cut fee, especially if the star is keen on a move and wants to leave.

It is clear that the Serbia-born star would be an excellent option in Daniel Farke’s squad, and the West Yorkshire club cannot afford to pass up on such an opportunity.

However, it remains to be seen if Leeds can get a deal over the line before the transfer window slams shut.

Football Insider has exclusively revealed that Harvey Elliott is keen on a move to Leeds United.

The Liverpool star has spent the campaign on loan to Aston Villa where he struggled for game time.

With his contract set to expire next year, the Reds are happy to cash in this summer, with Arne Slot giving the green light for him to be sold.

Sources have indicated that Elliott would be interested in a move to Elland Road as he looks to restart his career in the Premier League.

Elliott’s main priority is to find a club where he will receive regular gametime as part of his next move, and Farke feels that he can provide that for him in West Yorkshire.
