Leeds set to land 'seven-figure' windfall as new deal announced - Kieran Maguire
Leeds United will rake in at least £1million from their new sleeve sponsorship arrangement with Boxt.
That is according to finance boffin Kieran Maguire, speaking exclusively to Football Insider after Leeds announced the deal on 21st July.
Boxt, a Leeds-based multi-product electronics company, will take over from JD Sports after entering into a season-long contract with the club.
The new sponsors will also receive online marketing rights and the opportunity to advertise at Elland Road.
Leeds banked £14.4m from commercial avenues in the 2010-20 financial year, as per their last set of accounts.
Maguire claimed the Boxt deal will have been struck after “long negotiations” and is set to be a seven-figure income stream over the course of 2021-22.

He told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams: “Burnley have just signed up with a sponsor this week and Watford only announced theirs yesterday.
“The announcement of these deals normally takes place after long negotiations where the club will have narrowed the potential sponsors down to one.
“In terms of an income stream, for a club such as Leeds, we are talking in the region of seven figures.
“They deliver eyeballs and, as we know, they are very popular with the TV companies.”
Leeds executive director Paul Bell claimed the Boxt partnership would deliver “global awareness” for the company.
On the pitch, Marcelo Bielsa’s side begin their 2021-22 campaign away to fierce rivals Man United on 14th August.
