Kenny salutes ‘unbelievable’ Raphinha after Leeds reveal
Leeds United star Rapbinha has an “unbelievable” mentality that serves him well in the cut-throat Premier League world.
So says ex-Leeds goalkeeper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Brazilian attacker’s recent revealing interview comments.
He told the Players Tribune on 7 September: “I want to be booed. I want the pressure and the intimidation. That’s what gets me going.”

The 24-year-old has won hearts and minds in West Yorkshire since he arrived from Rennes in a reported £17million deal last summer.
He netted eight times and supplied 11 assists last term and has scored once in four outings in the current campaign.
And Kenny claims that his mentality endears him to the Elland Road faithful just as much as his statistics.
“It says a lot about the player,” he told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams.
“I can relate to what he’s like because I used to get a buzz off being booed as well. He wants to prove people wrong like I did.
“He is an excellent player, anyone who has seen him play knows that full well.
“But for whatever reason, these excellent players are often the ones who get hammered all game.

“So It’s an unbelievable mentality to have if you can deal with it. That’s just where some players get their motivation from.
“Different things work for different players. That mentality is part of the reason the fans like him so much.”
