Nicolas Tagliafico is an “absolutely unbelievable” footballer and would fit right into Marcelo Bielsa’s crowd-pleasing Leeds United side.
That is according to ex-Whites goalkeeper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider after The Mirror reported that Leeds are plotting a move for the Ajax left-back.
Quoted in the report, the 28-year-old claimed: “I am the kind of player who can show his skills, like I do at Ajax where everyone knows how to play football.”
Leeds have earned a reputation as the Premier League’s great entertainers in their first season back in the top-flight for 16 years.
Kenny is confident that the 28-time Argentina international will only strengthen their high-intensity, high drama approach if signed in the summer.
“He’d definitely fit right in with the way Leeds play,” he told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams.
“It’s an area they’re looking to strengthen in. He’s an Argentina and Ajax player which tells you all you need to know.
“He’s an absolutely unbelievable footballer. I’d like to think he’d fit right into the style that Bielsa plays.
“Any signing like that will be a huge boost to the fans and the whole club.”
The left-back position at Elland Road has been shared by Ezgjan Alioski and Stuart Dallas throughout 2020-21.
