Leicester job unlikely to appeal to senior Celtic figure, but one day a vacancy will
A rather bizarre development which seemed to come completely out of the blue recently were the rumours linking Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers with the Leicester City job.
Despite the fact the Foxes still have a manager in Claude Puel, that didn’t stop the Sun from reporting that Leicester wanted Rodgers to replace Puel.
The Hoops denied that there was any truth in the story, as reported by the Evening Times.
However, whilst it was always going to be unlikely that Rodgers would be interested in taking over at the King Power Stadium, you have to imagine that one day there will be a vacancy that interests him enough to consider leaving the Hoops.
That probably won’t happen for a while yet though, as Rodgers will want to establish the Hoops as a force to be reckoned with in Europe first, but with two back to back domestic trebles won there is only so much that Rodgers can do in the domestic game for the Bhoys.

Peter Lawwell and the Hoops board will no doubt be well-aware that Rodgers’ time at the club will not last forever, but will be hoping that he stays with the Bhoys in order to complete the mythical ’10 in a row’ before moving on to pastures new.
Only time will tell how long Rodgers decides to stay with the Bhoys, but there was little chance of him moving to Leicester.
