Leigh Griffiths posts message after Celtic clinch title v Hearts

Celtic forward Leigh Griffiths expressed his delight on Twitter after his side clinched the league title on Sunday.

The Bhoys secured a sixth consecutive Scottish Premiership title after a thumping 5-0 away win.

Scott Sinclair proved to be the hero on the day after his hat-trick, while Stuart Armstrong and Patrick Roberts also chipped in with goals.

Brendan Rodgers was without his injured strikers Griffiths and Moussa Dembele, but his side proved how they have been the dominant force with another impressive display.

They have won the league crown with eight games still to spare and will now be aiming to complete a domestic treble in the Scottish Cup, when they face Old Firm rivals Rangers in the semi-final.

“Scotland is green and white. What a performance. Champions again,” Griffiths wrote on his personal Twitter account.

Griffiths was the talisman last season as the Bhoys cruised to the league title and has had to play a different role this campaign.

Rising star Dembele has been the preferred forward under Rodgers and has scored 32 goals in 46 appearances.
