Levi Colwill shares Chelsea training ground update pre-Brighton clash

Chelsea defender Levi Colwill took to social media to share a training ground update ahead of their Premier League clash with Brighton on Valentine’s Day (February 14).

The two sides faced off in the FA Cup on Saturday (February 8) with Fabian Hurzeler’s side progressing to the fifth round thanks to a 2-1 win at the Amex Arena.

Colwill, 21, who spent a season on loan at Brighton back in 2022-23, was dropped to the bench by Enzo Maresca, who chose to start Trevoh Chalobah and Tosin Adarabioyo.

Nicolas Jackson, who missed the game through injury and is expected to be out until April, showed support for his teammates after the defeat on social media.

The striker has since shared an injury update with the fans as the West London club go into the Premier League game with Brighton without a recognised number nine.

The young centre-back has been key for Chelsea so far this season, starting all 22 of his games across all competitions, scoring zero goals, and providing one assist in his 1980 minutes of action.

Chelsea fans are starting to lose a little bit of faith Colwill, with many taking to social media to suggest he should be dropped.

Colwill appears determined to change a few opinions regarding his form this season, taking to Instagram to share a training ground update.

Football Insider revealed (February 10) that Chelsea are planning to address one problem position, and will battle it out with Newcastle to sign Caoimhin Kelleher.

Chelsea will doubtless be hoping to further cement their place in the Champions League qualification spots with a win over the side that knocked them out of the FA Cup.
