Lewie Coyle sends message on Tyler Denton on Twitter after his stunning Leeds debut
By Alex Stevens
Lewie Coyle has revealed on Twitter he is “absolutely buzzing” for matchwinning Leeds hero Tyler Denton.
The 20-year-old academy graduate marked his debut with a stunning goal in Leeds’ 1-0 EFL Cup win over League Two side Luton on Tuesday night.
Denton was included in the line-up for the first time as Garry Monk opted to make 11 changes from the side that beat Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 in the Championship last Saturday.
The 20-year-old left-back, who replaced fellow academy product Charlie Taylor in the starting XI, scored the game’s only goal with a superb shot with the outside of his left foot in the 23rd minute.
Coyle, who was also promoted into the team as a replacement for Luke Ayling at right-back, was delighted for his fellow 20-year-old.
Good win tonight, absolutely buzzing for my boy @TyDen6 on his debut and his goal??⚽️

Leeds academy product Denton was introduced to the senior squad only this summer after signing a new one-year contract.
Leeds have one of the most fruitful academies in the land, with the likes of Sam Byram, Lewis Cook, Alex Mowatt and Charlie Taylor all progressing from the youth set-up to professional ranks in the past few years.
Following the fantastic debut strike by Denton, Leeds fans took to Twitter to rave about the youngster.
In other Leeds news, a senior player could be set for exit door after a decision by Monk.
