Lewis Miley sends Newcastle message as his full stats vs Forest emerge

Newcastle United bolstered their hopes of securing Champions League football by defeating Nottingham Forest on Sunday (22 February) in a dramatic Premier League fixture.

The Magpies had to come back from behind after Callum Hudson-Odoi gave Forest the lead in the sixth minute of the game, but a blistering 11 minutes saw Eddie Howe’s side score four goals to blow Forest away.

Goals from Lewis Miley and Jacob Murphy alongside an Alexander Isak brace put Newcastle in a comfortable position at halftime, but Forest made the Magpies earn their three points.

Nikola Milenkovic and Ryan Yates got on the scoresheet to put the pressure on in the second half, but Howe’s men rode out the storm to secure an important win.

The result saw Newcastle respond to the embarrassing 4-0 defeat they suffered during their previous outing against Man City which had left fans furious.

It also saw the Magpies climb up to fifth in the Premier League table as they are now only kept outside of the top four by goal difference.
