Bridcutt: This is easily the most improved player at Leeds this season
By Alex Stevens
Liam Bridcutt has identified his fellow midfielder Ronaldo Vieira as the most improved player at Leeds this season.
The Elland Road academy product has made some leading managers and pundits sit up and take notice following a series of polished displays in central midfield.
Derby boss Steve McClaren admitted he was blown away by Vieira’s performance in Leeds’ 1-0 triumph over his side last Friday, describing the teenager in one word as “wow”.
Leeds skipper Bridcutt, who joined permanently last summer after an impressive spell on loan in 2015-16, has also been impressed by the huge strides made by the youngster in such a short period of time.
“He’s going to have a very good career,” said former Sunderland anchorman Bridcutt, as quoted by the personal Twitter account of Radio Yorkshire journalist Derek Clark. “From the start of the season to now he’s probably improved the most”.

Vieira is in contention to start once again alongside first choice central midfielder Bridcutt in Saturday’s league clash against Barnsley at Oakwell.
Eunan O’Kane is fully fit after a groin injury that sidelined him for six weeks, but Vieira will hope to keep his place in the team ahead of the former Bournemouth man and fellow academy graduate Kalvin Phillips.
Leeds are third in the Championship heading into Saturday evening’s televised clash against their 10th-placed Yorkshire rivals.
