Gary Lineker has hailed Mohamed Salah as a brilliant signing by Liverpool as he took his Premier League goal tally for the season past the 20-mark against Tottenham on Sunday.
The Egypt international, 25, opened the scoring after just three minutes of the showdown at Anfield as he pounced on an Eric Dier error to slide a slick finish past Hugo Lloris.
It was Salah’s 20th league goal of the campaign after just 25 matches, to make him the quickest player in Liverpool’s history to reach that landmark ahead of Fernando Torres and Daniel Sturridge, who each took 27 games.
Match of the Day host Lineker took to his personal Twitter account to rave about Salah, who joined from AS Roma last summer for a fee rising to a potential £44million, a then club record that was subsequently surpassed by the capture of Virgil van Dijk.
20 Premier League goals for Salah. What a signing he’s been.

Liverpool went into the break with a 1-0 lead over Spurs following what was a thrilling opening period dominated by the effervescent home side.
Salah has now scored 27 goals from 34 matches in all competitions this season, as he has matched his Premier League performances in the Champions League.
