Liverpool boost as 28-year-old shares Instagram injury update

By Danny Wright

Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana has taken to Instragam to update fans on his return from injury.

The 28-year-old posted a picture of himself lacing up his boots as he looks to recover from a thigh injury that has kept him out of action for a month.

He suffered the injury setback while playing in England’s World Cup qualifier win against Lithuania in March.

Jurgen Klopp has had to make do without the ex-Southampton midfielder in the last four matches but has seen his side cement their top-four spot with three wins and a draw.

“Time to step it up,” said Lallana on his personal Instagram account.

He will be hoping to return to action in Liverpool’s next fixture against Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Lallana has made 31 appearances for the Merseyside club across all competitions this season, scoring seven goals and providing seven assists.

His last outing against Man City was not one to remember though, as he missed an easy chance to earn his side the win in the dying minutes of the game.

Liverpool have five games left to play this season and currently sit third in the Premier League.

However, they have played more games than all of their top-six rivals.

In other Liverpool news, Klopp has made a big stride towards capturing the signature of this Premier League goalkeeper.
