Liverpool ace confirms he is not happy with position under Klopp
Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has tweeted a huge hint that his future may lie away from Anfield following the Reds 0-0 draw with Porto in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
The draw ensured the Reds of their place in the final eight of the competition and there were further celebrations as it was also the benched stopper’s 30th birthday.
Following the club’s progression, the birthday boy Tweeted on his official Twitter account: “Thanks for the more than 54000 Reds who turned up for my Birthday party tonight. Not happy with my seat but double happy for the lads to get us qualified! #UCL #LFC #YNWA.”

The Belgian international has seen his position in Jurgen Klopp’s side reduced to a substitute after the manager declared Loris Karius the number one and as a result, the stopper questioned the boss’ rotation policy.
Football Insider verdict:
With a statement like this, you would have to say that the writing is on the wall for Mignolet on Merseyside and it would be a huge surprise if he was still at the club next season. Having fallen behind the German stopper after Karius’ awesome display against Manchester City, the 30-year-old has been reduced to a bench-warmer. There were rumblings from the player back in January that a switch was on the cards after he admitted he would have to rethink his career with the Reds if he wasn’t first choice. It won’t be a big loss though for the Merseysiders as he was often calamitous between the sticks. Klopp has bigger fish to fry with Jan Oblak and Alisson both linked with a summer transfer to the Premier League’s second top scorers.
