Liverpool expected to seal £50m Moises Caicedo deal after source’s reveal – pundit

Liverpool could seal a deal for Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo if they table a bid of £50million.

That is the view of former Premier League striker Kevin Campbell, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Reds’ interest in the 20-year-old.

Caicedo has caught the eye with a number of impressive performances this season.

Liverpool

Sources have told Football Insider (24 September) that Liverpool are keeping close tabs on the centre-midfielder.

Jurgen Klopp’s side and Chelsea are understood to have registered their interest in the Ecuador international during the previous transfer window.

Caicedo has three years on his current contract.

When asked by Football Insider how much Caicedo is worth, Campbell said: “At the end of the day, if you put £50million on the table you will get him.

“There will be many other clubs interested in him. I think a few clubs would be willing to put down that sort of money for Caicedo.

“He is so young. He has a great future ahead of him. Everybody will want to get hold of him. Clubs are willing to invest big money in top young players.

Chelsea

“Caicedo is doing a brilliant job at Brighton. I think we will see Chelsea go for him now that Graham Potter is there. These things have a funny way of working out. Potter may go back and get him.

“It will be interesting to see where he ends up. The key for Liverpool is adding quality to that midfield. Caicedo would be a really good option.”
