Liverpool fans react on Twitter after Sturridge controversial booking
By Will Butcher
Liverpool fans have reacted on Twitter after substitute striker Daniel Sturridge received a yellow card for a dive against Swansea.
The former Manchester City striker went into the referee’s book after going down under a challenge from Swansea defender Mike van der Hoorn.
Sturridge came on midway through the first half after Adam Lallana went off with a suspected groin injury, as he joins Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino in attack.
The Merseyside giants went into the break 1-0 down to bogey team Swansea, after winning just one game in five attempts at the Liberty Stadium. Dutchman Leroy Fer struck for Swansea early on.
Sturridge’s own fans were not impressed with their striker on Twitter, after the England international was shown a yellow card by referee Michael Oliver.

Never a peno. Deserved the booking, should have stayed in his feet.

silly dive by Sturridge. And he complains abt not hvg game time. If he'd only stop being a cry baby and work harder, he cd be a good player.

Sturridge, 27, has made just three starts this term, coming off the bench on three other occasions. He’s scored twice, with both goals coming in Liverpool’s 5-0 demolition of Championship outfit Burton Albion.
Last season, the 22-time England international made just 19 starts for Liverpool in all competitions and was replaced in 11 of those, as the striker failed to overcome a persistent groin injury before succumbing to knee and hamstring problems.
