Trent Alexander-Arnold starred for England’s Under-19s on Friday – and the Liverpool supporters were raving about his performance on Twitter.

The 18-year-old is enjoying a breakout season at Anfield and continued his impressive form on the international stage.

The right-back managed to score twice in a comfortable 3-0 victory against Spain in their Euro qualifier.

Alexander-Arnold is recognised for his attacking exploits and he opened the scoring from open play, before netting a second-half penalty.

Liverpool fans were delighted with the display of their rising star and feel he is close to seriously challenging first team ace Nathaniel Clyne for a starting position.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Alexander-Arnold has emerged as the next big star at Liverpool and is being tipped to be a regular first team player in the future.

The defender has earned recognition from manager Jurgen Klopp this season and made nine senior appearances, including four in the Premier League.

He will have to force his way past senior England international Nathaniel Clyne for a starting role, but fans believe the youngster is already not far off doing just that.

Alexander-Arnold has shown he is an adventurous full-back and is very effective going forward due to his pace and trickery.

He will now hope to improve the defensive aspects of his game and he is a player that is expected to have a big future with the Merseyside club.
