Liverpool fans react on Twitter to heated Souness and Carragher argument over Paul Pogba

Graeme Souness and Jamie Carragher had a heated argument on Sky Sports over Paul Pogba’s defensive duties during Manchester United’s 1-1 draw against Liverpool – and fans on Twitter have seen the funny side.

Midfielder Pogba handled in the area in the first half after he lost his marker centre-back Dejan Lovren.

Versatile player James Milner cooly slotted home to open the scoring at Old Trafford before Zlatan Ibrahimovic levelled the scores late into the second half.

After the game, Souness and Carragher disagreed over who was at fault for the first goal and who should take credit.

Former Reds centre-back Carragher felt the away side did well to block the Frenchman off during the set-piece, while former midfielder Souness was critical of Pogba by stating he took his eye off the ball.

A heated argument ensued between the two pundits to the entertainment of those watching at home.

Many jokingly stated that Souness would win in a fight between the two as one Reds fan asked betting firm Paddy Power for odds.

Another supporter praised Souness for keeping his cool during the exchange as Carragher expressed his opinion.

But another fan did state that the duo were like school boys as United and Liverpool shared the spoils on the day.
