Liverpool fans react on Twitter to Sturridge display v Manchester United
By Dominic Toner
Daniel Sturridge played 60 minutes against Manchester United in the Premier League – and Liverpool fans were critical of his performance on Twitter.
Liverpool were held to a 0-0 draw at Anfield on Monday night and the forward was substituted off in the second-half after struggling to influence the game.
Sturridge, 26, has been restricted to several substitute appearances this season and was handed the opportunity to start by manager Jurgen Klopp.
The England international failed to get the better of defender Chris Smalling and Eric Bailly, with Adam Lallana making a positive impact as his replacement.
The result leaves Liverpool fourth in the Premier League table and two points adrift of league leaders Manchester City.

Sturridge has now made nine appearances this season and his only goals came against Burton in the EFL Cup.
His search for a first Premier League goal this campaign continues and Roberto Firmino has been the preferred option in attack.
The England striker does have a great record since he moved to Anfield, scoring 56 goals in 101 appearances for the club.
Klopp has introduced a high intensity and attacking press to his side and many people feel that Sturridge is not suited to the system.
