England thrashed Panama 6-1 in their second World Cup game on Sunday and Liverpool fans were thrilled by the display of Jordan Henderson.
The Liverpool midfielder has been criticised a lot in the past, even by Liverpool fans, for being too negative and not passing forwards enough.
But he put in a sublime display today, along with the rest of his England teammates and Liverpool fans are convinced the world is finally seeing him for who he really is.
His performance was probably best summed up today in the second half, when he almost scored from a volley.
With the game already dead and buried, Henderson was seething with himself for not scoring.
England have already qualified and now play Belgium to see who tops the group.
That might be something both teams are keen to avoid depending on how other results go, with both Brazil and Germany not necessarily looking like they will top their groups.
Meanwhile, Liverpool fans flocked onto Twitter to hail their player – here are the best reactions to Henderson’s display:

Henderson has controled the defence when in possesion, the midfield throughout, given instruction for free kicks ans is leading by example.
