Liverpool fans reacted with anticipation as emerged that Jurgen Klopp is still interested in signing Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic.
The Daily Mail claim the Reds are still keen to sign the USA international after having a £14million bid rejected in the summer but may struggle to persuade him to Anfield.
The report claims a deal is unlikely to happen in January and Klopp may have to bide his time and make another attempt next summer.
Liverpool are keen to sign the 18 year-old in January as they will be without Sadio Mane when the Senegal international is on Africa Cup of Nations duty.
Roberto Firmino is likely to move back into a wide position in Mane’s absence but that would mean the Reds have just two strikers in Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi.
The Dortmund star has already notched up two goals and six assists in 12 appearances in the Bundesliga and the Champions League this season.
Pulisic is regarded as one of the brightest young talents in Europe but fans are not feeling too optimistic despite the fact Klopp has still not given up his pursuit.

Anyway, as I say, if were going to upgrade the defence we'd have done it in the summer. We MAY get Pulisic who is a left winger>>

I'd like to see us go for Tah, Brandt, Van Dijk, Pulisic, Insigne.. one or two would do.
