Liverpool fans have reacted on Twitter after Everton’s Ross Barkley was reportedly caught on camera being punched in a bar on a night out.

The BBC have revealed that Merseyside police are looking into CCTV footage regarding the incident, as it is claimed the video shows the 23-year-old being punched by an unidentified man.

Barkley’s lawyer was reported to have said that his client was the victim of an unprovoked attack.

Barkley starred in Everton’s 4-2 win against Leicester on Sunday afternoon, as goals from Tom Davies, Phil Jagielka and a brace from Romelu Lukaku secured all three points.
