Liverpool fans react on Twitter to Sturridge selection against Watford
By Amir Mir
Daniel Sturridge has been selected to start on the bench for Liverpool as they take on Watford on Monday evening at Vicarage Road – and fans on Twitter are pleased to see him return.
The 27-year-old has been hit with a number of injuries once again this season and will be hoping to put that nightmare behind him against the Hornets.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are currently sitting in the Champions League places but dropped points could see the chasing pack close in on them.
Fourth-placed Manchester City and fifth-placed Manchester United, both dropped points at the weekend when they picked up draws against Middlesbrough and Swansea respectively.
Nonetheless, fans are hoping they can pick up all three points away from home as some backed Sturridge to get on the scoresheet.

The Anfield faithful believe they now have some good options coming off the bench rather than having a number of youngsters.

Liverpool will win this game 3-1 I reckon, but will have to come from a goal down. Sturridge to score after coming on! #LFC

Great to see Lallana and my man Sturridge back on the bench tonight, beats having five 11 year olds #LFC

It's funny how #LFC fans don't rate Klavan, even though he plays well but rate Sturridge even when he plays badly.

Over the course of the season, Sturridge has played only 23 matches in all competitions during his injury-hit season.
He has found the back of the net on six occasions during that time and started only ten games throughout the campaign.
He last started a league match for his team in early January when they recorded a 2-2 draw against Sunderland, who have since been relegated.
Sturridge found the back of the net during that match as he has scored only two league goals this term.
