The attacking midfielder struggled to get into the match as Arne Slot’s team were unable to break down their opponents, despite having the lion’s share of possession.
The Hungary international has provided two assists already this season, against Man United and Ipswich, but was unable to create anything in this fixture.
Slot did keep Szoboszlai on for the entire game, but he never ended up getting into the game in an influential manner.
The defeat was Liverpool’s first of the season, leading to them falling three points behind Man City in the Premier League table.
