Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to urge the club to bin Danny Ings in the summer transfer window.
Ings, 25, signed for Liverpool in 2015, but due to a spate of serious injuries, he has only managed to make 25 appearances across all competitions for the club in the last three years, scoring four goals in the process.
Jurgen Klopp handed the one-time England international more of a role in the first team towards the end of the Premier League campaign with him starting against the likes of Everton, West Brom and Stoke while managing to get himself on the scoresheet in a 2-2 draw at The Hawthorns.
However it appears that Liverpool fans have no room for sentiment and want the injury-prone strike offloaded in the summer.
One Reds fan claimed that the club should “get rid” of the 25-year-old.
Here is a selection of their tweets:
Keep: Matip, Lovren, Gomez, Lallana, Wijnaldum, Origi and Buvac.
Sell: Mignolet, Moreno, Klavan and Ings.
Loan: Woodburn, Solanke, Brewster.

I would sell Ings,
loan solanke out to rangers , or one off the promoted clubs or to one of the relegated teams from the EPL !!!

Loan/Sell Solanke, sell Ings, give Origi one more year to prove himself and bring in another striker. Not that hard, eh? https://t.co/5UOSCKjqjW

Give him another chance, I’m sure he will come good, besides he’s better than Solanke and Ings; get rid of them two.

I'd get rid of Ings and Solanke for sure but I'm not sure about Origi for some reason. I see Sturridge going for sure but we need back ups for our front three

All 4 of them. Then shut up shop. Sell Ings, Mignolet, Matip, Origi, Sturridge. Loan out Gomez, Ward

The Daily Star has reported that Ings earns £60,000-a-week on his deal at Anfield, which still has two years left to run on it.
It seems unlikely that he will get much of a first team role next season under Klopp, so it may be best for the two parties to go their separate ways in the summer with fans so eager to see the former Burnley star leave.
