Liverpool kept up the pressure on Manchester United in the Premier League with a resounding 5-0 win over Watford at Anfield on Saturday.

The Hornets stood no chance against a free-scoring Reds who exerted their pressure from the off and made their domination tell as early as the fourth minute when goal machine Mo Salah registered his 34th goal of an incredible campaign for the Egyptian.

But supporters felt that the display of Danny Ings deserved some mention too.

With Salah unsurprisingly receiving the bulk of the plaudits, they stated the former Burnley striker deserved a goal for his efforts.

The 25-year-old has had a torrid time with injuries blighting his progression at Anfield since his move to Merseyside from Lancashire in 2015.

Despite a number of clubs wanting to sign the forward on loan in January, Jurgen Klopp held onto Ings, and now he looks to repay the faith the manager has shown in him.

Although he had made eight outings in the league so far this season, the striker is yet to find the back of the net.

But from the sounds of things, it’s only a matter of time before the English attacker starts racking up the goals according to Liverpool supporters.

Here is what the Reds faitful had to say about the English forward on Twitter:
