Liverpool left reeling pre-Nottingham Forest as triple injury blow confirmed
Arne Slot will be without three key players for the visit of Nottingham Forest in Liverpool’s first game back after the international break.
Liverpool are looking to recover from their 3-0 defeat at Man City and close the gap on leaders Arsenal before the Gunners play Spurs a day later.
The pressure is increasing on Slot to turn Liverpool‘s form around, with the club also out of the Carabao Cup.
Nottingham Forest beat Liverpool at Anfield 1-0 last season, and are looking to win on consecutive visits for the first time since 1963.

Conor Bradley and Florian Wirtz ruled out
Speaking at his pre-Nottingham Forest press conference, Slot confirmed that both Conor Bradley and Florian Wirtz will not be fit to play.
“We do have some issues after the international break, unfortunately. Conor Bradley is not able to play and Florian Wirtz is not able to play,” Slot said.
“That’s far from ideal.
“Both are muscle injuries. Conor I don’t expect to play in the next 22 days unless a miracle happens, which I don’t expect. Maybe towards the end.
“Florian, it depends on how things work, but it should not be that long.
“Jeremie Frimpong is out for the next two or three weeks as well so it’s going to be interesting who all of you want to see at right-back.”
The Dutchman though did confirm that goalkeeper Alisson should be able to return in-between the sticks versus Forest.

Dominik Szoboszlai could return to right-back
Wirtz had impressed for Germany against Slovakia during the international break, whilst Bradley was forced off at half-time for Northern Ireland against Luxembourg.

Bradley’s injury is the biggest miss with Frimpong also on the sidelines, so midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai may have to fill in again at right-back.
Szoboszlai had mixed fortunes in the position, with the Hungarian sometimes struggling against tricky and pacey wingers.
