Liverpool make Bobby Clark transfer decision after bid – sources
Liverpool are expected to agree on a loan move for Bobby Clark rather than a permanent move this month, sources have told Football Insider.
Red Bull Salzburg, now managed by former Liverpool assistant manager Pep Lijnders, have had a £6million bid rejected for the 19-year-old.
Clark has lots of loan interest from Championship clubs, including Leeds United and Norwich City, who are keen to bring the midfielder to the English second tier.
The youngster made a breakthrough into the first team last season, making 12 Premier League appearances for his boyhood club.
However, Clark missed out on the opportunity to travel to the USA for Liverpool’s pre-season tour due to a back injury.
Liverpool only willing to let Bobby Clark leave on loan
The Merseyside club are the only side in any of Europe’s top five leagues who are yet to sign a first-team player this transfer window.
Arne Slot has been tasked with leading Liverpool into their brave new post-Jurgen Klopp era with a small contingent of high-quality players.

Clark may yet be needed by the club if this transfer drought continues but the club are willing to let him leave to gain first-team experience.
The midfielder scored once in his 14 appearances for Liverpool last season, bagging their second goal in a 6-1 demolition for Sparta Prague in last season’s Europa League.
