Liverpool news: Pundit names two players who can replace Sadio Mane goals
Frank McAvennie has claimed Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz can help Liverpool “forget” about Sadio Mane quickly.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former West Ham striker suggested Darwin Nunez would hit the ground running in a red shirt.
On Wednesday (22 June), Liverpool confirmed that Mane had completed a permanent move to Bayern Munich.
The Bundesliga side will pay £27.5million for the Senegal international, with a further £7.5million in add-ons.
He put pen to paper on a three-year contract at the Allianz Arena.
When asked if the Reds have already found Mane’s replacement, Frank McAvennie told Football Insider: “Klopp’s not beating about.

“He brought in [Luis] Diaz who’s magnificent. He’s brought [Darwin] Nunez in now who’s a top striker. Hopefully the boy can hit the ground running, score goals, and make them forget about Mane.
“But what can you say about Mane? He scored all these great goals and he’s so grounded.
“He was going into the last year of his contract that’s why he went for £35million. If he wasn’t it would have been an awful lot more than that.
“It’s great for German football because he’s a great addition to any team. He’s been a breath of fresh air to the English game and that’s what you want.
“I think the Liverpool supporters will applaud him and he’ll get a great reception if he comes back to Anfield.”
The Senegalese forward made 51 appearances for Liverpool across all competitions last season.
He scored 23 goals in that time, including two in the FA Cup semi-final against league winners Manchester City, as well as providing five assists throughout the season.
