Liverpool terminate attacker deal after multiple offers received – report
Liverpool have terminated the loan deal of young winger Ryan Kent, who has left Freiburg and is now back at Liverpool, according to a report.
The Liverpool Echo reports that Kent, who was supposed to spend the season at the German club, has struggled for game time, with just one start and six appearances in total.
He is now back at Merseyside, where Liverpool will look to loan him out to a Championship club for the rest of the season.
It is claimed that Liverpool have had multiple offers for him from that level of club and the club will monitor these and make a decision on his next destination before the end of the month.
Football Insider verdict:
Liverpool have high hopes for the 21-year-old winger and having him sit on the sidelines in Germany was not what they were looking for this season. It seems that the loan deal wasn’t working out for either club and the 21-year-old winger is now back at Liverpool and eyeing a fresh challenge. It’s important that Liverpool get it right this time, but a full half season in one of the toughest leagues in the world is exactly what Kent needs to take his game to the next level. He could be ready for first-team action next season if Liverpool do get it right so it’s a decision that need to make very carefully.
