Liverpool tipped to get ‘£104m’ deal ‘done’ after source’s Salah update – pundit
Liverpool will have to hand Mo Salah a five-year contract worth £400,000-a-week if they want to keep him, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker insisted there was “a deal to be done” between Salah and Liverpool.
A Reds source told Football Insider (October 14) the club are submitting a £350,000-a-week deal to their talisman.

It is understood he wants to commit his future to Anfield until the summer of 2026 with his current deal set to expire in 2023.
The Telegraph reported today (October 20) the 29-year-old wants wages of £400,000-a-week.
A contract of that value running over five years would cost Liverpool £104million.
“There’s a deal to be done,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“If I’m Mo Salah, I’m not accepting £350,000-a-week, I’m wanting £400,000-a-week. I want whatever I want and whatever I want, you give me because, without me, you’re not going to win the Premier League, you’re not getting into the top-four and not going to win the Champions League.
“Mo Salah is the reason why Liverpool have got a chance of winning the league and the Champions League this season. He’s the difference, he’s the main player.
“He understands that. He will see players at Man City, players at Man United earning £300,000-a-week, £350,000-a-week and thinking ‘I’m better than them, I want more’ and rightly so.

“If Liverpool can’t afford that then he goes somewhere else and gets even more than that probably.
“If I’m him, I dig my feet in and get what I deserve. Otherwise, I’d be gone.”
