‘Liverpool to sign Rodrygo from Real Madrid’ – fans erupt

Liverpool fans are backing the club to sign Rodrygo from Real Madrid this summer amid rumours of the Brazilian forward’s uncertain future in the Spanish capital.

The Reds capped off a magnificent domestic season by securing the title, thanks to the 5-1 demolition of Tottenham on Sunday (27 April).

Mohamed Salah has been the standout man at Anfield this season, registering a barely-believable 28 goals and 18 assists from the right wing this season.

However, the rest of Liverpool‘s attacking options have underwhelmed this season and the Reds seem likely to dip into the transfer market to revamp their squad.

Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz could be heading for Liverpool exit

Luis Diaz is a target for Barcelona this summer. The Colombian was a fast starter this season, but his production fell off a cliff near the back end of the season, and the Reds may look to cash in on the 28-year-old this summer.

Meanwhile, Darwin Nunez looks set to leave Liverpool after struggling to find any semblance of consistency at Anfield since his move from Benfica, scoring just five times this season.

Diogo Jota has been a stalwart for the Reds since joining from Wolves in 2020, but the Portuguese forward has been blighted by injuries and poor form and seems likely to be heading for the exit this summer.

Liverpool alerted to Rodrygo availability, but face stiff competition

According to Spanish publication Todofichajes, Man United, Man City, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Chelsea are closely monitoring Rodrygo’s situation, aware that Real Madrid could be open to selling Rodrygo if an offer arrives that meets their “financial expectations”.

Los Blancos see a potential sale of the 24-year-old as an opportunity to strengthen key positions in defence and midfield.

Despite his performances this season, the Brazilian has been forced to accommodate for players like Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham, and Kylian Mbappe.

With a potential move to Anfield on the cards, Liverpool fans excitedly took to social media, with one saying Rodrygo’s addition would “transform” the club, whilst another called the 24-year-old a “heavyweight” addition.
